What’s your house worth? — If you haven’t seen this, it’s kind of cool. Zillow is a web site that take an address – maybe your home address,  maybe your boss’s, maybe your arch enemy’s – and shows you a lot of information about the property, especially an estimate of it’s current market value and how it’s changed. Cool. Technorati Tags: cool, cooltool
1-2-Google! — I don’t know why I thought this was so cool. Maybe it’s my long standing background with Spreadsheets, from when I worked at Lotus. You remember Improv, don’t you? Or maybe you don’t… Anyway, “Google Plans to Release Spreadsheet Application” ! > “[Goo...
Comment spam – solved for now?The other day I complained about comment spam on my two blogs. Comment spam is when fake comments are added to a blog post that include links to some random site. They are supposedly put there by spammers to generate traffic to their sites, as well as try to impro...
Notice the new del.icio.us feature I am using? — The feature isn’t new, it’s actually pretty old. It’s also very poorly documented. But it’s new to me. I’ve configured del.icio.us to automatically create a post to my blog of all the tags I’ve submitted in the last 24 hours. If you are a del.icio.us user, look under “settings”, “experimen...
Help with movable type spam? — Both this blog and the BlogBridge have been getting spammed more and with both comment and trackback spam. It’s becoming a real pain. I’ve poked around my Movable Type settings looking for solutions but I am sure someone who knows MT well could tune my configuration with ease. Anyone out there want to lend a hand? Please email me! All you never wanted to know about colonoscopies — Our friend Dave Weinberger shares: “I had my first colonoscopy today. They didn’t find anything, except a piece of fruitcake I ate in 1978. But I figured if Katie Couric can show her colon on national TV to encourage people to get checked, then I should too.” The only surprise is that this is his first colonoscopy. David, what took you so long? (I guess my second surprise is that he didn’t link to Wikipedia’s definition of Colonoscopy.) Technorati Tags: medical
