“Endless Forms Most Beautiful and Most Wonderful”: Ruliobiology and the Theoretical Foundations of Biological Form

writings.stephenwolfram.com

Stephen Wolfram explains the concept of ruliobiology, a metamodel of biology. Explore the interplay of natural selection, adaptive evolution and computational irreducibility.

Linked is an intriguing article by the famous Stephen Wolfram which seems to build on his previous work and especially the primitive game of life. Not sure how important the work is. Wolfram make it sound earth shattering

The Brain Sandwich

terriblesoftware.org

The brain sandwich is a practical AI coding workflow: understand the problem, let an agent help, then verify and explain its work before sharing it.

Linked is a reference to the “brain sandwich. I think it’s a useful model for thinking about the impact of ai on the craft of programming and the discipline of software engineering.

The Bedrock of Software Design | Alex Fedoseev

alex.draftist.io

A simple concept that makes software easier to understand, harder to misuse, and safer to change.

Linked is an interesting article about software design. (Who does that anymore?) But the examples are in RUST. I can sort of understand them but better would’ve been in python or ruby.

Why we should anthropomorphize AI agents

Just over a year ago I wrote Why we should anthropomorphize LLMs. Now it’s a hot topic again, driven by Dwarkesh Patel’s description of OpenAI’s recent swarm…

Linke is another very intense article about the risk of AI. I’m saving these on my Linke list just for the historical record so I can look back and see what was an antic
